About LinksApp and the index behind it

LinksApp sells one thing: link data over a plain REST API. We wrote the pages here for people who build apps and keep a website beside them.

LinksApp research team ·

What the product is

A developer REST API and a free online explorer for backlinks, referring domains, anchor text, top pages and a 0-100 Domain Rating. Answers come back as JSON.

The data comes from our own crawler and our own link index: 181,132,097 domains, 2,774,625,913 domain-to-domain links and about 798.5 billion backlinks. It refreshes roughly once a month.

That is a limit. A link added last week may not be there yet. A free backlink analysis on a launch day will mostly show the weeks before it.

Its audience is app makers, and the guides use their vocabulary: builds, store listings, release notes, docs hosts. A backlink analyzer is only useful if the questions it answers are yours, so each guide starts from a situation an app team recognises, then shows the call that answers it.

The people-sized picture

LinksApp is run as a product, and this site is its public face. The guides here are signed by the research team, because a named author would be invented.

We built it for the gap between a free checker, which answers one question once, and a full suite, which answers hundreds and bills monthly.

A solo developer with a landing page, a docs site and an App Store listing needs about a dozen answers a month. Most of those cost 1 or 2 credits.

That is the use case behind the pricing: prepaid credit at $0.0001 per credit, from $0.10 per 1,000 calls, with no minimum.

How to start without paying

Open the lookup on the home page and type a domain. That is a free backlink analysis at the level of DR and counts, with no key and no card. Paid actions begin at 1 credit.

New accounts receive $100 of credit, which is 1,000,000 credits. At 2 credits for a referring-domains pull, that covers 500,000 calls.

Top-ups use USDT (TRC-20) from the account page. Sign-in is by Google only.

A rival's domain works the same way. Look it up, then compare it with yours at the next refresh.

Why we aim at app makers

Apps leave a trail of web pages: a landing page, a docs site, a changelog and a pricing page. Each one earns links differently, and most small teams never look.

Start with the landing page walkthrough or the store listing comparison. Developers who want code go to the docs site setup.

The research team that writes the guides is a team, not a named person, and the guides carry no customer stories. We have none to show.

What we will not claim

No ranking promises. Links are one input among many, and Google's own updates, such as the March 2024 core update, reshuffled results regardless of anyone's link count.

No customer logos and no testimonials either. If you want proof, run your own domain and one rival through the explorer and judge the output yourself.

Pick one domain. Look it up. Write the number down.
